About the Alumni Association
The Towson High Alumni Association was founded in 1904 by the first
graduating class of 4 students; the original bylaws were drafted and
approved in 1907. The organization was formed to provide social events for
those graduating students and later to support Towson High School in its
academic, music, art and sports endeavors. The Alumni Association is one of the
oldest alumni associations in the United States.
The Association is comprised of a board of no more than 12 individuals with
a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and each and every
student that has graduated or made a significant contribution to Towson High
(25,800+). Current committees include Reunion, Fundraising, Finance,
Membership, Newsnote, Internet and Hall of Fame. Meetings are the second
Tuesday of every month except for June-August.
The Alumni Association currently funds 5 scholarships including the Ted Prince Memorial Scholarship
Award - awarded annually to a student in memory of the only THS student who
died in World War I. The Association also maintains a database of all
members for reunions and updates and funds current school needs.
Dues for members is currently $10 annually and $100 for a lifetime
membership. Members receive semiannual newsletters, e-mail updates and discounts on clothing and some events. Your donation can be paid by check or credit card number, however, we do not accept money orders.
